From Remote Operate Under Water Vehicles ROVs, to high tech sonars and other submarine innovations, the new frontier of Ocean exploration is being conquered by unmanned vehicles, The latest news breaks not from below the waters but from above.

Dave Anderson of Dolphin & Whale Watching Safari based in California US captured unpublished footage of dolphin and whales with the assistance of drones.

Local press of Latin America and the Caribbean reported on the first days of June on the voice-footage which for some reason continues to go viral and grow reaching over 8.1 million views in YouTube. The video opens a new frontier for ocean viewing. The 5 minute footage reveals a pack of over 150 dolphins stampeding shot in wide angle. Additionally the drones of Captain Anderson reveal three Grey Whales and three Humpback Whales, mother, infant and escort in the breathtaking turquoise waters of Maui.

“The most beautiful and amazing material ever shot with a drone,” Captain Dave told the press describing the footage.

Captain Dave assured that thanks to the technology he has learnt much on whales and dolphins. Drones have helped Captain Dave to enter a “new dimension” in his research. Press reported that the drone used is a small domestic drone of four rotors. Small budget innovation in ocean exploration directed to unmanned vehicles specially underwater vehicles are on the front line of ocean investigation. New and old generations alike begin to realize the potential of small and practical machines to reach waters never explored before and break the natural limits imposed by the environment onto human kind.

Where humans need air tanks machine need no such things, underwater small vehicles can span the ocean for 24 hs a day without ever stopping for a breath.

“Drones will change the way in which we see the animal world,” Dave Anderson concluded. Anderson work is not unfamiliar with the history of marine exploration and investigations. Throughout the decades oceanic exploration has benefited indirectly numerous times by making use of technology manufactured by other non-science sectors.

The video also speaks of the ever moving dynamic ocean and its life. Pristine waters are revealed beyond the human realm. Images of where no human being has ever gone captured the imagination of viewers- inspiring the global online platforms.
