North Atlantic Climate Change Events Challenged by New Study
Study published at Nature Magazine assures that the abrupt climate changes occurred in the North Atlantic in the past 440 thousand years were not triggered by the presence of large group of icebergs. Study was developed by scientists of the Barker Cardiff University. The study signals to more wider events.
Unique Black Flamengo Spotted at Chipre
In the natural reserve of the lake Akrotiri Chipre -lake surrounded and influenced by ocean waters a black flamengo was registered among the flameng local population. The black flamengo which has now become legendary is a long distance migrator. The unique pigmentation of its black wings is linked to melanism. Flamengo obtain their pigmentation from elements present in basins they home.
Endemic Fish of Japan Living off Oregon Coast since 2011 Tsunami
Scientists assure to have discovered Japanese endemic fish in the coasts of Oregon. The fish are reported to have been dragged along a fishing ship which reached the coasts of the US after being trapped and destroyed in the 2011 Tsunami. Scientists urge for more studies due to the consequences of invasive species in stable environments. Natural disasters are historically linked to the spread of species globally and contribute to evolutionary biodiversity.
Grey Whale Takes on 22.53 Kilometer Navigation Taking Longest Route Record
US and Russian scientists assured to have registered the longest migration route for mammals on Earth. The 22.53 thousand kilometer endeavour was taken on by the Grey Whale -Eschrichtius robustus. Three individuals of the specie were monitored via satellite. Route extends from Russian Islands of Sakhalin crosses the Pacific Ocean and reaches the waters of Baja California Mexico.

Project Aware took on their “Dive Against Debris Hero” to celebrate Earth Day on April 22. “From small changes in their daily lives to onshore and underwater cleanups, local actions have helped contribute to cleaner, healthier marine environments. And, we’re gaining traction,” Project Aware communicated. Globally the Dive Against Debris program has recollected over 493,047 pieces of rubbish -weight that combined equals to that of over 3 thousand people.
