Virgin Kitesurf World Tour Gets Loud in Stop 2 Showdown

In its first year of operation since Virgin took over PKRA Kitesurf organisation, the World Kitesurf Tour is getting louder and making some noise as it takes its second stop in Venezuela for a professional air-borne, water surf down show down. Two rising riders for male and female categories will prove their talent once again.  

The Kiteboarder reported on June 13th that Isla de Coches Venezuela Island will be the location where riders will meet the best possible conditions for disciplines of Freestyle and Big Air. 

"This place is renown as one of the best kite spots in the world for freestyle thanks to its flat water and constant winds. Riders will be able to put a show for the crowd and push the level with their latest tricks," Kiteboarder assured.  

Surfertoday explains that strategy of Virgin Kitesurf World Championship as it takes over the PKRA World Tour. 

Virgin´s own Richard Branson, know for having special interest in the sport and being an enthusiastic rider himself took over the professional kiteboarding world circuit. The new organization is run under the Virgin brand, with multiplatform digital entertainment company ZED as a main co-sponsor.

The 2015 Virgin Kitesurf World Tour is all about taking the sport to the next level. The events are expected to be louder and boosted by superior media exposure. 

"We want to make the Virgin Kitesurf World Championships well known across the world, and build a vibrant platform for the sport so its partners, athletes and venues can flourish," Branson signaled to the plans of expansion of the sport which is still considered a vanguard sport. 

Europasur reported on June 9th on one of the stars that will take the sport to the next level. Gisela Pulida will sailsurf the waters of Venezuela Island competing in both categories, Freestyle and Big Air. Pulida is training hard to score big front judge lines and take home a victory.

The rising star took first place in Big Air and second place in Freestyle in the First Stop of the Virgin World Surf Tour which took place in Marruecos Dakhla. Paulina now rides Venezuela waves, swells and winds for a double victory and ranking consolidation.  

Virgin assures that all best world riders gathered up in Venezuela for the registration of the Second Stop event. Of 49 athletes sourced from 18 home countries -all ready to battle and show their best tricks under 20 to 25 knots winds speed one has attracted the attention of the crowds.

Carlos Mario AKA Bebe accomplished what has never been done before. At his first professional event he took the leading podium and price. With only 17 years of age Virgin Kite Surf World Tour describes his riding style as prodigal, empowered with an impressive natural kiteboarding skill and pushing the limits supported by a team of inspiring trainers. The world of Kitesurfing is a discipline which continues to grow, given the young nature of the sport tricks and maneuvers rise on daily basis and Bebe seems to like the world of jazzing surf riding.

"I never get nervous in competitions. I just enjoy every heat as if it was just a session," Carlos Mario Bebe who took home the highest scores at the Dakhla Stop 1 of the World Tour stated. 

"As for the strategy, no, I don't have any to take down a rider. I just train hard and Reginaldo always reminds me to focus only on training," the Brazilian rising rider spoke about inside group strategy. 

...But both rising stars will not be alone. Virgin Kitesurf World Tour warns on what to expect…. 

Signed up and ready for the event, current number one Liam Whaley will try to claim his first back-to-back victory. Whaley will fight against more experienced riders such as reigning world champion Christophe Tack, five-time world champion Aaron Hadlow and also two-time world champion Youri Zoon.

Also present at the event breathing behind the nine-time world champion Gisela Pulido current freestyle world champion Karolina Winkowska and 2009 world champion Bruna Kajiya doing their utmost to beat off the competition.

The Venezuelan Showdown Stop 2 is but the engine start of Virgin Kitesurf World Tour 2015. The World Kitesurf Tour programmed 11 stops for 2015. Upcoming events will take the best athletes to the Dominican Republic, Spain, Germany, Argentina, Brazil, China and South Africa. 

The sport which is still not recognized by Sailing Olympics and which has taken into deep seeding within the soul of the new ocean riding generations is poised to fast become a truly global sport riding the experienced wings of Virgin.
